Terms of Use
These terms apply to your use of CaptionPop.
1. Service
CaptionPop lets you select or record a short video, generate editable captions, choose a visual style, and export the result. The current Android version supports Free exports with a CaptionPop watermark and a one-time paid Clean export for the current project. CaptionPop does not offer a subscription.
2. Your content
You keep your rights in videos, audio, text and other material you provide. You grant CaptionPop and its service providers only the limited rights needed to upload, process, transcribe, render, store temporarily and deliver the output you request.
You are responsible for having the rights and permissions needed to use the material you submit. Do not use CaptionPop to process unlawful content or material in a way that infringes copyright, privacy, publicity or other rights.
3. Automatic captions
Speech recognition can make mistakes, especially with noise, accents, overlapping speech, names or unusual terminology. Review captions before publishing or relying on them. CaptionPop is a creative editing tool and does not guarantee transcription accuracy.
4. Usage limits
CaptionPop may apply technical limits to clip duration, file size, processing concurrency, retries or other resource-intensive operations. Current limits are shown in the app and may change as the service develops.
5. Free and Clean exports
A Free export includes the CaptionPop watermark. A Clean export is unlocked by a one-time Google Play purchase for the relevant project. The price shown in the app is provided by Google Play and may vary by market, tax and currency.
Purchases are processed by Google Play. CaptionPop does not receive your full payment-card information. Refund eligibility may be governed by Google Play rules, applicable law and the circumstances of the failed delivery. If a paid Clean export is not delivered, contact support@captionpop.app and include the Google Play order number if available. Do not send payment-card details.
6. Availability
CaptionPop depends on network connectivity and third-party services for transcription, hosting and purchases. Temporary interruption, queueing or service failure can occur. We may change or discontinue features where necessary for security, reliability, legal compliance or product development.
7. Privacy
Use of CaptionPop is also subject to the Privacy Policy, which explains temporary media processing, service providers, retention and deletion.
8. Prohibited use
- Do not attempt to bypass service limits, purchase verification, security controls or access restrictions.
- Do not upload malicious files or use the service to attack, disrupt or probe systems.
- Do not use CaptionPop to violate applicable law or third-party rights.
9. Your saved files
Exports that you save to your device are your responsibility. Deleting a CaptionPop project or server copy does not necessarily delete videos or SRT files you previously saved to shared device storage.
